The new versions of some of Adobe’s most popular applications (Photoshop, Flash, InDesign and others) have hit the street! Creative Suite 5 is a truly massive release. The Creative Suite 5 Master Collection has o total of 15 new versions and new applications, along with another 1/2 dozen updates to services and helper applications. That’s good for all of you, but it’s kept our instructors busy for the last few months, poking at beta release software and getting ready to help our customers make use of all this Adobe software goodness. Flash Catalyst-
- Allow traditional designers to control widget design all the way through design approval.

Flash Builder
- Formerly Flex Builder
- the rewritten Flex 4 eliminates much of the grunt work in previous versions.
- Flex Builder lets you leverage that code in new ways.
Dreamweaver
- Access to Adobe BrowserLab lets you use Adobe’s servers to test html on nearly any hardware, browser, and operating system combination. And without ever leaving Dreamweaver!
- Coupled with LiveCode, which lets you preview data interactivity, and you’ll see why Dreamweaver’s still at the front of the pack.
Speaking of Flash Catalyst…
For interactive designers, Flash Catalyst is a big deal. Catalyst lets designers leverage their Photoshop and Illustrator skills to create interactive web and mobile computing apps (Think Droid, etc.)
Sounds scary, but with a 2-day class, designers and web dev pros (there is a 2-day class for each) can get a solid sense of how this killer addition to the CS family can speed up design and comp of widgets, web interfaces, or mobile apps.

What does that mean to you?
If you are looking for the best training on CS5 products, you’re in the right spot. See our public training dates on our website. The schedule lists dates for the next 6 months, but you can give us a call to discuss the dates we’ve scheduled up through April, 2011.
We generally offer students the opportunity to participate in class using the previous version as well. That means if you don’t plan on upgrading to Photoshop CS5, you are welcome to use Photoshop CS4 in class.
Since our instructors are all seasoned pros, we can explain to you the differences between the two versions, and everyone gets a sense of what has changed in the application.
